How do other "Australian Made logos compare with the OZ COMPliance logo in their ability to clearly inform you about the origin of the product you are purchasing?

There are several labels in common use to denote the Australian level of inputs in regard to items that you may purchase. Unfortunately, when we see these labels we often over prescribe to the notion that they mean "All Australian", and give the terms more value than they deserve.

Many of you reading this for the first time will be surprised and possibly angered to think that many of the items on our supermarket shelves are far less Dinky Di, True blue and "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" than you have been led to believe in spite of all the labelling and logos that they display.
Below are three of the most common labels that are intended to encourage us to buy "Australian". However the criteria required for displaying these labels can be much less "Australian" than we may be led to believe, as shown in the red writing.

  Up to 100% foreign content
  Up to 100% foreign owned
  Up to 49% foreign made

At last... the label that gives producers & manufacturers the power to accurately & honestly inform consumers.
"Our competitors can use imported ingredients, be foreign owned, and need only to have more than 50% of their manufacturing costs occur in Australia, and they are eligible to display the Australian Made logo and use the label, "Australian Made". We needed a better logo to accurately show the origin of our great product"
